Dear Friends and Colleagues,

it is with immense pleasure that I invite you to participate in the 6th Polish Symposium: Developments in Colorectal Surgery, which is going to be held between 16th and 18th March 2017 in the Narvil Hotel in Serock near Warsaw, Poland. We are preparing a really interesting and eventful programme. During the Symposium, you will have the opportunity to hear lectures by leading experts, who will talk about the most pressing problems in colorectal surgery of the 2010s. We have made every effort to ensure that the manner of presenting the information be as varied, rich and attractive as possible.

The symposium programme includes not only "classic" verbal presentations, but also video session "How I do it?; clinical, legal and proctologic case studies; discussions and debates on, among others, inflammatory bowel disease; sessions on interdisciplinary treatment of colorectal cancer, state-of-the-art medical technologies in colorectal surgery, multi-specialist treatment in lesser pelvis pathology, supportive therapy in colorectal cancer, advanced workshop on Vacuum Assisted Closure; a poster session, and sessions for nurses with thematic workshops.

The symposium is interdisciplinary, experts from such fields as general surgery, colorectal surgery, gastroenterology, anatomical pathology, clinical oncology, oncological surgery, gynaecology, urology, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and diagnostic imaging have already confirmed their participation.

Furthermore, the Symposium is a perfect opportunity to form and cultivate friendships. I hope that you will cherish fond memories of the 6th Symposium in the picturesque surroundings of the Narvil Hotel for many years. We, organisers, will make every effort to make it happen.
